Ok, this is how I've done it in the past.

Create a user account called "a" (just an example, use whatever name you want)
Log on as that user
open the my documents folder
click on "tools", "folder options", click on the "view" tab
Click on the"show hidden files and folders"button
make sure that the "hide protected operating system files" is UNTICKED
Restart the pc
log on as "administrator" (not as your usual username)
Navigate to "c:\documents and settings\a"
delete all the CONTENTS of the folder
navigate to the folder with your username
copy all the contents from there to the a folder
restart the pc
log on as "a"
check that the profile is ok.
