Default "freeaddrinfo could not be located." Help!

hey guys
I just uninstalled a free version of mcafee and I now keep getting this message: "The procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.dll". It pops up all the time and is really annoying. Does anyone know how to stop it?

This is the microsoft support page for the bug but i don't understand it!
BUG: Cannot locate the procedure entry point FreeAddrInfoW when you run an application on Windows Server 2003 or on Windows XP

Thanks!

Hi eggypie, welcome to the PCHF.
First off...please don't double post I've merged your threads.
Second...the fix from microsoft is for the programmers...it's C++ coding, which I'm not surprised you don't understand - not alot of people do these days.

Unfortunately that kind of problem is specific to McAfee. Might be worth an attempt at contacting them about it.
