Exclamation [Resolved] System Wont Load.

INTRODUCTION
hello all, if you have read my previous posts they are all about my new computer problems, mainly waiting 7 weeks for it to be built and get it back to actually use the *******, the problem was resolved as either risers bending the motherboard, or usb wired wrong and a few little other things. none which could give us a direct answer to the problems

PROBLEM
i got the system back, it was working great. i was having problems with the screen being ou of range when doing dxdiag tests, but i didnt care much as im getting another card anyways.
I went to install Norton Antivirus 05 and it installed after doing a system scan first, then it told me to reboot (recommended). So being the computer minion like i am, i restarted, the system then booted to what looked like the SCANDISC interface and proceeded to go through steps.
I caught i few words such as locating orphaned file, deleteing file, locating file, scanning files, replacing orphaned files, and SCANDISC STEP 3 of 3 complete.
All in all it took 3 minutes maybe? then it restarted itself and booted to a blank screen, after waiting with monk like patience for 5 minutes i manually restarted the system fearing the worst.
then the windows (im sorry for the inconvenience screen) come up and gave me some startup option, which i have tried all without any result many of times.
1.i do get post beep.
2.i went into bios to look for the HDD and it was detected.
3.i reset all bios defaults.
4.i have waited with zen like patience even just incase it has a file its sorting through.
5. the HDD light stops flashing when the system stops loading.

Full specs:
ASROCK AM2V890-VSTA motherboard
AMD 5200+ X2 64 AM2
1GB DDRII 533 (APACER)
500WATT PSU
Inno 3D 512 PCIE Video Card GeForce 7600GS
160GIG Seagate 7200rpm SATA2 serial according to bios (SATA:3M-ST3160211A)

also i have gone into windows advanced options menu, and chosen the Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows Domain ControllersOnly), which takes me to a blank screen saying
CHECKING FILE SYSTEM ON C:
THE VOLUME IS CLEAN.
WINDOWS HAS FINISHED CHECKING THE DISK.
I hope i have covered all the bases for you to help me with this problem... thankyou.

ONE LAST THING. I HAVE PUT THE WINDOWS XP DISK IN AND NOTHING HAPPENS.

No problems mate

As you've only just got Windows installed...I'm guessing there's no data on it yet?

I'd suggest starting from scratch again.
Format (don't do a repair install).

Format, install Windows.
Install your chipset drivers (can get them from www.guru3d.com)
Install video card drivers
Install all other drivers.
Restart in between each.

Then try install Norton again. If it happens again...format and don't install Norton again

i have data on the system. today i downloaded 3DMark06 from guru3D (ure link) which once downloded wouldnt open and initialise. and a few good photos, only 3-4 of em. but also the problem with another fresh install is that it has been installed too many times it has been installed and re registered 4 times, which according to microsoft is too many times and requires me to buy a new version of the product.. do you know how i could get around this? the only reason i was able to have it installed a 4th time is because my technician contacted microsoft and requested and extntion or somthing.

Yea, i know the 3 time limit...it's annouying, but you just have to contact Microsoft (should be a free call 1800 or 1300 number), and explain the situation - they normally reset the key without hassels

If the photos can be recovered, from the camera or something, then i wouldn't worry too much about them...however, if they're your only copies, try a repair install of windows then.

The reason i suggested against it, is to keep your performance up when we get this beast of yours running stable.
