Default Monitor problem

Hi Guys,
I have a 17" benq FP71G+S Monitor, I went to switch it on and the screen blinked for two secs then the power light at the switch went out.

After trying many times, the same thing kept accuring, if I hold the power swirtch on ( physically keeping it pressed in ) the power light switch along with the screen just will blink on and off.

At no time during that does the screen or light stay on as it should, i removed the back cover off the screen, did not really show much, other than that the switch looks like a small micro switch soldered into a thin circuit board.

I have tried the monitor on another comp and the same problem.

Any clues would go along way, mean time I will c if i can find a forum on such monitors and their help pages.

Thanks Cart

HI Cartandpeg...

Opening monitors is extremely dangerous (power wise)...extremely.

However, from the description of your problem...it sounds like your monitor is dead

Thanks GaRHaR,

I might take the monitor to the agent for them , see what they can sort out.
