Default win2000 pro password

I bought a pc for 20$ all it needed was ram. But the os (win2000 pro) has me locked out at startup, due to a admin login...how can i reset this. I dont want to reinstall..I have the key for it (it is taped on the side of pc) but i dont have a win 2000 cd.

Not sure if someone else posted on this. I did a search but found nothing that could help me..

Offline NT Password & Registry Editor burn that to a CD or make a floppy disk and follow the prompts, then when it asks for the new password just blank it off (enter an asterisk (*) only) and then when you reboot the admin password will be blank, just press enter.

Try holding down the Shift key during boot-up. That'll bypass the login.
