Default [Pending] Uninstalling Google Desktop

I've recently uninstalled Google Desktop but I'm having problems. The area on my desktop where the sidebar comes up seems to be still there. The sidebar doesn't come up but I've got Incredimail installed and when my notifier comes up it doesn't come in from the right hand side it comes in about 2 inches from the right, it's as though the Google Desktop Sidebar is still there. Please help

Thanks

Try checking these things...

Assuming that you do not have any Google programs that you want to keep,

1. Within the Control Panel, check to see if there are any Google programs installed there. If so, Uninstall them, then reboot.
2. After rebooting, open a Windows Explorer, and check the Program Files folder for any Google folder. If you find any, delete them.

That should clear all of the Google programs out of your computer.

Good Luck...

I'd already done what you suggested. I don't know what else to do. I've checked the startup and can't see anything running. Could there be something in the registry running? I looked at the registery "regedit" and deleted a folder called "GoogleDesktop" (not sure what I'm doing when it comes to editing the registry).

The reason I uninstalled it was because I couldn't get it to pop-up new news items on my desktop. Someone I know uses it and they get regular pop-ups (I think they are called Google Alerts)

Sorry for the delay in replying. Do you still require assistance with this problem?
