Default [Pending] XP problems - Please Help

Hi, ive got two problems and need help sorting them:

1) Awhile back i downloaded a recommend driver update for my monitor from Microsoft.com, the next time i turned on my PC all the fonts, text sizes and text positioning was wrong. I tried to find a support e-mail link but failed. I was wondering how i can fix it???

2) I want a new internet. It has to be:
8mb or more (for gaming reasons)
Always connected (no dialup or speedtouch)
Reliable
Ive look at orange.co.uk and found Broadband Unlimited Internet (unlimited downloads) - Orange

Please Help, Thanks

Howdy Bow and Welcome to PCHF

I can answer the furst question but the second may be hard since I do not live in the UK..I have heard Orange is descent though

Right click on your desktop..Click properties..Then click apperance..

Click the advanced tab, and in the scroll box make your icons a smaller size this should help both issues..

I'm not sure if orange is connected 24/7 but you could always get a router that would keep you 'signed in'

Personally I was on blueyonder and the service was fantastic, no outages very speedy then they got bought out by Virgin and it's now called Virgin media and since it switch they've had proxy/dns issues everywhere and thankfully that's clearning up, if it continues to be OK I recommend virgin if you can get cable in your area and they will soon be rolling out 20mb/sec for £37 which is a little pricy

I second the Virgin media, I'm with there 2mb broadband, and i get excellent pings in game . Although I have heared of people having problems with them, but I've had none.
