Default windows xp can't shut down

i using windows xp sp1.i not sure how its happen, my pc can't shut down and log off, it still running after i shudown n log off. but restart is ok.why this happen n how to solve ?

Hi eric,

The most likely problem is that your Windows is out of date. Upgrade to SP2 ASAP and get all the latest updates...this will increase security and fix most problems you are facing.
