Microsoft photo info is driving me nuts
My system is driving me nuts with the constant re-appearance of a dialog box titled "Microsoft Photo Info". The error message is:
Folder path 'Program Files' contains an invalid character.
I have a seperate directory named Program Files that is on hard drive G:\ because my C: drive is getting full, so I'm installing any new software to G:\Program Files. Most of my old software remains on C:\Program Files. When I tried to uninstall Microsoft Photo Info from the Control Panel's Add/Remove utility, I got a "Fatal" error message during the uninstall. Then I physically deleted the entire folder for Microsoft Photo Info and cleaned the registry with a cleaning utility. I still have the problem. As soon as I complete an AVG virus scan I'm going to re-boot and defrag both C:\ and G:\. Maybe that will help. Any ideas?
ps: My various Microsoft add-on software such as IE7 and Microsoft Photo Info has been causing much more problems, proportionally, than any of my third party software.
