Default Blue Screens And Can't Boot Xp

Hello Everyone,

PowerSpec 9140a Desktop XP Pro w/SP2 and all updates nVidia card ti4600 120
Mb HD 1024 RAM...

I've seen three different blue stop screens since an involuntary restart
earlier today:
1--KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR
***STOP 0x00000077 (0xC0000015, 0xC0000015, 0x00000000, 0x00000000,
oxo2951000)
Beginning dump of physical memory.
Physical memory dump complete.
The system has been shut down.
2--STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows logon process terminated unexpectedly with a status of
0xc0000006 (0x00000000, 0x00000000)
3--STOP: c0000221 {Bad Image Checksum}
The image WINTRUST.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not
match the computed checksum.

The above, 3--STOP:, is all that I can get now, even when trying to restart
in safe mode. Can someone help me? I was using iTunes when the first blue
screen appeared, then was using iTunes only after successfully restarting --
it eventually crashed leaving me with blue screen 3-- now.
Can I fix this if I can't reboot in either mode? Can the corrupted file be
downloaded somewhere if I can't find the program disk? Recent hardware
change was installation of a digital 21" ViewSonic flat panel monitor.
This is scary -- I have lots of data on my HD : / I'd like to create a bootable CD that will enable me to run chkdisk in DOS. The format for my desktop is NTFS, and the bootable CD offered from Bootdisk.Com sounds great and I can create it on my notebook. Can anyone help me get this created or let me know of other options? The program disks from PowerSpec are XP pre-SP2, and advice I received from someone re slipstreaming is a tad too advanced for me. Bottom line: I cannot get past the blue scree at this point.
HELP please!
Thanks,
sbuxman

I think my first move is finding an XP Pro Program CD to see if I can boot from it. I currently can't get to my desktop in either normal mode OR safe mode, and when I press F2 to access Setup to change the boot order, it gets bypassed as well. If the bootable XP CD I've used before works, I'll run chkdsk :c /f from DOS. If it doesn't work, how can I rescue my data?

THANKS for all help so far : )

I'd just boot off your XP cd and perform a repair install of your windows xp instructions here.

THANK YOU!!

Finally could get to DOS to expand my Pro disk's file WINTRUST.dll -- to no avail...at 43% chkdsk /r I was informed that I have unrecoverable errors on my HD -- now I'd like to slave it to my notebook (or other desktop system) to recover my data before junking it.

Can you help me or direct me to instructions re how to slave a drive to another?

THANKS!!

Hello Again,
WELL, first things first LOL! I purchased a spanking brand new Western Digital 160 Gb HDD, installed it with all jumpers aligned and promptly installed XP Pro and then downloaded and installed all the updates through SP2 and beyond. Then things went to hell in a handbasket...you should excuse the expression, please!
After installing IE7, I found that I couldn't get the windowsupdate page to finish as it searched for the latest updates. Upon contacting M*Soft, the iexplore.exe file/program was exposed as the culprit, so the technician(s) had me uninstall/reinstall IE7, but first check to see if IE6 could handle the update page...not! As this was happening, other smaller things seemed to breakdown--basically most other programs would stall or be non-responsive, even though other webpages would load!! I could not check for installed printers, sometimes even the Control Panel would not open in either view! The remarkable conclusion is that I'd best reinstall XPPro over what I had already christened my new HDD with, pardon the grammar.
Anyone want to try to answer what has happened, or better yet, help me out of this nightmare? I'll get to the slaving later...LOL

p. s., the system is NTFS and I'm having trouble revising the boot order so I can boot from the CD -- must be doing something wrong with the "save changes" key (F10)...THANKS!!!
