Your problem is related to your Hard Drive, iTunes was unable to write to your HDD for some reason.
Possible causes are:
1) Physical disk problem. Check your drive for errors by going to
My Computer, right click on
Local Disk (c), and go to
Properties. Under the
Tools tab, click on
Check Now for "Error-checking". Click both check boxes and finally click
Start. Reboot and let scandisk check your disk for errors.
2) Fragmentation. Your disk may be too fragmented. Under the same section, under the
Tools tab, click
Check Now for "Defragmentation".
3) Anti-Virus and Security. One possible cause is a conflict between multiple virus or security software installed on your PC. Make sure your only running one package.
4) Just as a final note as well, try to come out of iTunes before disconnecting from the iPod. This is a result of the following Microsoft article:
