Windows XP/2000 - Reinstalled XP but no internett! posted in the Operating Systems forums; I used to have this problem with bsod before i used autonuke and fixed the whole thing, i so intalled XP but after installing all my drivers i cant get ...

I used to have this problem with bsod before i used autonuke and fixed the whole thing, i so intalled XP but after installing all my drivers i cant get internett.


the 1394-connection is there but no Local!


would love some help with this! who can own a pc without internett??

Hi kaktus,

It sounds like you're missing your network card drivers.
The Local Area Network is always there - even if you have no cable plugged in - unless you don't have the drivers installed.

ok now i know that then, but i dont know exactly what kind of Motherboard i have so i cant download the right drivers.

if you could tell me how to figure what kind of motherboard i have and a site where i can download the driver it would help alot!

Unless your motherboard has the network built in, I think your Network Card would be in an expansion slot. Check and see if it's up at the top with your motherboard slots such as USB and Firewire (1394) or if it's down below that.(towards the bottom in one of those slots. There's most commonly 7 of said slots).
