Windows XP/2000 - compressing cab format posted in the Operating Systems forums; does anyone know how to compressed a cab format? i already downloaded a makecab.exe however i dont know how to use it. pls help........

does anyone know how to compressed a cab format? i already downloaded a makecab.exe however i dont know how to use it. pls help.....

for a cab format, I would just let the os do it during disk cleanup; tick the 'compress old files' option, and it will go through and do it for you.....how much space are you down to? There are a lot of apps out there that will go through and delete all the cludge that windows generates, if you are interested.
