hi, i have win xp pro. i have a big file almost 3 gigs which i am trying to upload to my ftp site. but they don't allow files more than a gig in size. is there any program i can use that will break that file into smaller chunks?

I suggest using WinRAR. When in WinRAR, setting up the size limit is pretty simple, but sometimes it may go slightly over, so I suggest making the limit 995MB rather than 1GB. Also, under the compression level, select "best" and in the area right to the right of that, tick "test archived files" and "create solid archive." These options make your RAR files smaller (meaning, in your case, less RARs to upload) and more reliable.
