Hi all...happy belated Easter.

Woke up yesterday and out of the blue my PC starts having trouble booting up. I get the memory test screen and the devices then it hangs and says " boot disk error Boot from CD/DVD"

The only major thing I've done in the past week was to install a program called Guitar Tracks which is simple music recording software.

Could that have done it?

it looks like the PC may be having trouble seeing the hard disk. If you go in to the bios duz it see the hard disk in there and also check if it is set to boot from the hard disk.
