Thumbs down poor video

i have a 6800gt 256 meg vcard and a gateway 21" connected by dvi. All the google and youtube videos i view are very poor quality. My old vhs vcr looks beter than either, anyway to improve this?

It really depends what you're viewing...I tend to find that most vids on viral sites are poor quality and I'm running a 7900GTX. When you say "poor quality" are you talking about corruption of the picture or just general picture degradation? How does a DVD look on your system?

Well dvd,s look much beter.. mainly just online media that looks so crappy

Its most probably nothing to do with your video card at all and more to do with the quality of the camera's used to capture that video your viewing.

I got my res set at 1024x768. Native res 1680x1050. WHat i see most is like the hole picture has quater inch squares that makes the picture.. Kinna like if you were to zoom way in on a jpeg picture. The squares are hardly noticable on my vga display with an old 128 vcard in a differ machine. I was told my digital display shows flaws more so than a regular vga crt setup, is that true?
