First -- check your BIOS version...while searching I saw you'd been in several other forums with this exact post? If there is configuration that needs doing in the BIOS-- it must be done first or it will never work.
I had posted in other forums, but I didn't seem to get the response like I have here. That's why I saythat this is the best forum I have been to.
The BIOS version is:
CR94510J.86A.0031.2006.1212.1648
I am in the BIOS right now, is there something you would like me to check.
I guess I was thinking that since it has an OS on it right now, everything must be configured.
I'm definitely not very BIOS savvy!!!
From what I saw online... there is supposed to be some config settings in the BIOS for SATA-drives-- I'm not real familiar with Intel Bioses
generally there's a first page with hardware listed
Then there's an advanced settings page-- look in there for SATA controllers or SATA settings... you may have to do some searching for this.
You may have to change the settings from Automatic Mode at the top-- and the ATA/IDE settings next down.Look for SATA modes in anysetting
What is set as primary Boot device under boot?
