I have a program called tune up utilities and it reccomends system optimizations for computers.
For mine it has said:
"If your computer has 256mb of RAM or more, paging of the system kernal can be disabled to boost system performance."
and
"Disable universal plug and play (UPnP) the UPnP is a potential security risk and should be disabled."
I know that plug and play is used for USB devices and mouses. Other than that I have no idea about what these things are and whether they should be disabled.
Should I let it disable them?
Thanks, Jake
