SB, you are always such a PROBLEM! LOL

No worries, we'll figure it out. First of all, did you write down what the BSOD said? The specific error code will tell us what exactly seems to be going on with it.

Secondly, did you return to your CD or are you still working with your M8's and having the previous situation occur?

If you can get the PC to recreate the BSOD (in case you didn't know, that's Blue Screen of Death), we will be further into figuring out what to do next.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

Yes i should have remembered that after making a comment about us having the same cards lol.

Ok. Are you comfortable adding and removing expansion cards? Try running the install again with nothing but your Video card in the expansion slots....no sound card (unless it's onboard) no network card (again unless onboard). Make your machine as bare bones as possible. Then, if you successfully install windows we can add things one at a time and if you get an error all of a sudden we can identify if there is a hardware difficulty.

i only have graphics plugged in everything else is onboard. Shall i take that out and use onboard graphics?? see if card is problem? and if i do that, do i have to change it in the bios first, turn off and take out??

Also in bios my hardrive(SERIAL ATA Connector)is on a lower IDE Channel 2 Master and DVD/CD writer is in IDE Channel 0 Master which i just moved there from Master channel 1 but i still had this issue before? Is this ok or is something wrong there, because that is how it was set up when i got it new(DVD/CD in Channel 1 Master).

And i also wondered what HDD S.M.A.R.T Capability is?

And would temperature etc of the pc be useful?

Note: I Have a Maxtor HDD and SiS 661 Motherboard.
