Default Image Issue

Lately my computer has been have a flickerig affect on my desktop, and any program i have running. It goes away but comes back. I've ran anti--virus, adware blocker, you name it i've ran it, it always come back. The flickering alters the screen to a pink-purple color and it has pick line flash on the screen. Its not the monitor because to dosen't affect the mouse courser. Please help

Hello MrBluvLuv,

Welcome to PCHF.

Can you describe what you mean by "pick line flash"? And explain a little more about why you believe it is not the monitor. From what I understand from the rest of what you said, it is extreemly unlikely that this would be virus/malware, and certainly a hardware problem, anywhere between the monitor and the graphics card itself.

The first thing I would do is make sure that the VGA cables are firmly connected between the monitor and the graphics card. The VGA cable should have a ferrite bead. Also, open up the PC, look for the graphics card, remove and reseat it again.

Sorry i should have said "pink flashing lines", also the mouse icons isn't affected during the flashing

Do you mean the mouse cursor or the desktop icons? Do you think you could draw what you see (including the cursor) in paint (Start, Run, and type in pbrush), save it as a jpeg and attach it here?
