Default trouble changing boot screen

hi, i just tried changing the default xp boot screen using a program caled boot in available at wincustomize.com .now what happens is that everytime windows starts the new boot screen appears and then suddenly the blue screen of death appears and pc restarts.i even tries uninstalling the software and again reinstalling it but same pronlem everytime.could u plz tell me ,(1) WHETHER THE PROGRAM WON'T EVER WORK? (2) IF THE ANSWER IS NO,IS THERE SOME OTHER METHOD TO CHANGE THE BOOT SCREEN ? thanx
