I have a HP Pavilion (Dv5000) laptop, and everytime I go to start it it makes it to the windows logo screen and then goes back to the rebooting screen. I have tried to start in Safe mood, last know good configuration, but that doesnt help. Anything else I could try? I dont have a recovery CD. Thanks.

First of all, are you able to get into Safe Mode, or does it reboot there as well? Are you getting any kind of error message? Did a recovery CD come with the laptop? Can you tell us what if anything occured immediately before this began to happen? Are you running XP?
