Default Restart problem

Well since I'm at it(torturing you poor guys) here's another problem.
Yesterday I was trying to fix my uncles pc. I found out the problem was the grafics card, took it out and replaced it. But he seems to have another wierd problem. When he restarts windows they get stuck at boot up at the boot from cd: _ prompt. But if you shutdown and start the pc normaly it boots fine into windows. Any idea what wierd stuff this is?

It doesn't matter. If you need to boot from the CD or floppy then you just change it at that point

Hey Guys,

@Stepes - How's it goin? Regardless of the boot sequence, if there is no media in the drive, it should simply move on to the next. When you are getting this hang, is there a CD in the drive? Other than the Vid card, have you installed anything else on the PC? Are you getting the hang on Restart when you swithc the boot sequence? I don't think it's a good idea to just pretend this isn't happening, you may be able to override the problem, but we should still try to determine what is causing the problem. Also, do you have the most up to date BIOS for the PC? With the new graphics card that could be relevant.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
