whenever i put my flash drive into my usb port
i cant see the icon in my computer. i have tried disk management and gave it a name but it didnt work any other suggesstions

Try using the add hardware feature in control panel, also check in device manager for components that are not funcioning properly. You can acced device manager by right clicking on my computer, selecting properties, select hardware, and than device manager.
You shoud find a device with the name of your flash drive marked with an exclamation sign "!". If you do find your device name marked wih ! try to update your driver by right clicking on it select properties, update driver. Search for your driver on the component's manufacturer website.

When you say that you cannot see the icon, are you referring to the icon in the tray of they taskbar? Can you locate the drive when you are in My Computer? Is it only the icon that does not show up, or are you unable to access the flashdrive at all? Do you have any trouble with any other USB device in that slot? Have you tried the flash in any other PC?
