Default HDD/Explorer Problem

Very hard for me to describe this problem but basically, explorer has stopped displaying the full contents of a large folder I have (60gb or something I think) and now only loads about 1gb of files (The same files each time) Most of the files inside the folder are songs. I can still load most of the songs (Some tracks now refuse to open in iTunes) from within my itunes library but I cannot locate tracks through the itunes explorer or windows explorer. I have no idea how this could have happened and it's the first time i've ever seen such a problem.

I'm using win xp

Hey Aardvarked,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a wonderful team of techs here, and I am sure that we will be able to help you sort this out.

First of all, I would want to rule out malware as a culprit, but as you seem to be losing functionality, if you do not have the files you still have access to backed up, I would highly recommend doing that first.

Once you have your files safe, please follow the instructions for PreWork in my signature, and post back with the resulting logs.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
