I have just installed sky broadband, after the engineer left(laughable job title).I rebooted, attempted to go wireless...its not the installing engineers job to do that his job finishes when all the pretty lights flash on the router, and now the pc stops when the windows background appears.Does anyone have an idea how to get through this,
I had been running nod32 and defender both of which had been disabled at the engineers/instruction books suggestion prior to installing the sky/netgear software.
any help much appreciated

Hi daveyh,
Welcome to PC Help forum...enjoy your stay and feel free to rack up your room service tab. Can you boot your PC into safe mode? Just reboot your machine and keep hitting F8 until you get a menu giving you some options.
