Ok, I tried it,

A,B,Q,T, U

are the commands that work. I have absolutely no idea why C isn't coming up, because I know that the local disk says C.

I tried putting chkdsk and chkdsk/r on all of those and nothing happened?

What do I do?

Sooory to but in but when you in dos at the command prompt. Go to each drive letter you can get to and type "dir chkdsk*.* /s" and press enter key this will make the PC search that drive letter for the file named chkdsk it must be in the pc somewhere. if you go to each drive you can get to you will find it there somewhere.

So all I have to do is type in,

"dir chkdsk*.* /s"

I will try right now and get back to you on that. Thanks

EDIT:

I tried it and nothing happened.

Would it help if I told you that I have two hard drives but it only appears as one?

Should I use any of the tools on the UBCD?

you have two physical hard drives in there, or one partitioned as two?

Yes, Windows is on the C drive.

I have managed to borrow a copy of Windows XP Home off my friend. Even though I have XP Pro installed, will it be able to repair Windows if I use the Home version of it?
