DOS boot disk options....mmm, I'm still abit confused, but I can try.

EDIT:

Under the DOS Boot section on the Ultimate Boot CD - Overview site,

are you talking about the MS-DOS boot disk, because it says you have to add that before burning.

try the freedos or opendos boot disk. But yes, you are in the right area of applications. All you need to do is get to dos.

Ok, I got there.

It came up with Q:\

Then I could type in the commands.

I typed in "chkdsk /r" and it didn't work.

chkdsk by itself didn't work either.

So what should I enter?

well, first off, you need to get to the c drive, or whichever drive your system files (OS) is on, usually c. So type in 'c:', then it should show 'c:\>', then once you see that, type in chkdsk /r.

let me know if that works.

thanks,

v

I typed it in and it didn't work.

I know that my OS is on the C drive so i know it's correct.

What else should I do?

Why does it come up with Q:\\ ??
