I upgraded my PC MB and CPU Pent D. DDR1 Ram . My pc keeps rebooting. I thought it was related to MS Word, but not so. In many programs, it just suddenlt reboots. I see no errors during the boot. It does hand for a bit while rebooting. It is most often when I am writing or editing. I have trouble responding to emails. I have my case open and I have wiggled and shook my computer without any incident. It seems I can shake it all I want without incident. I worry if I may have done dnamage to MB, or if this coudl be related to some of the DLL files I had to skip while intalling older Win XP. I have only had one incident while web serfing. Otherwise when I veiw video sites, I can go all day without incident.

I have no viruses per AVG scan

Have you tested the memory in the PC at all? you can use software to test it. I think they recommend testmem program in this forum. Another thing to check since you have had the side off the case is to remove the memory and refit into the socket while your and there somtime a leaking compacitor can cause strange rebooting problems to I have seen it lots of time on older mainboards they look like this.Blown and Leaking Motherboard Capacitors - A Serious Problem? - PCSTATS.com
