right click on the folder, go to properties, and tell us the size of the data that is in the container, please.

thanks,

that's probably part of the problem. You are running xp with 512 and asking it to open 6 gigs of data......make sure nothing else is running, if it's been a while since you rebooted do so now, and when it boots up, right click on start to get to explorer, navigate to the folder, click, and go make a sandwich or something. It will open, and then I would highly recommend creating some subfolders in there, so that everytime it opens, it doesn't have to chew through all that data to open the one folder.

Let me know if that works. You may also want to click on the prework link in my signature and run the ATF portion of it to clean out any cludge that would be slowing your system down, and check your disk for defrag status. I'd do the ATF before I cleaned up the folder, then I'd do the defrag after I reorganized it.

Let me know how it goes. Trust me, be patient, and it will work. We built them, remember?

thanks
