Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] Anyway to replce Microsoft Sam ? posted in the Operating Systems forums; Hi when i had vista i didint like it so i reisntalled and got XP back and my default sound thing is set to microsoft sam i was just wondering ...

Hi
when i had vista
i didint like it so i reisntalled and got XP back

and my default sound thing is set to microsoft sam
i was just wondering if i can get microsoft anna back ( the vista girl voice )

It seems, thru a bit of reading, that "Anna" is only available as a part of Vista as "she" takes advantage of the new TTS (text to speech) engine in Vista.

Hi lolpaladinsx,

While like Hengis said you can't have Anna, if you really want you could get a third-party TTS system like nextup Text to Speech Software with AT&T Natural Voices, NeoSpeech, Acapela, Nuance SAPI Voices™.
