Recently, I purchased a new Compaq Laptop. It has been doing some wierd things recently. As I type this, every few letters, the computer freezes for a fraction of a second, and then corrects itself. This goes for typing, moving the mouse, any action constantly freezes for a fraction of a second.
The computer is usable, but it is extremely annoying to have to use it when it constantly skips like this.
Is there any easy way to fix this that you know of?
Thanks,
Connor

Click Ctrl+Alt+Del and go to the Performance tab. If the CPU usage or RAM usage is really high (above 50% is very high) then you've found your culprit.

I went ahead and tried that, I took a few days and did a few experiments, but I determined it didnt have anything to do with my programs. I logged off and tried to switch users, but during that process (when there are no programs running), the problem was still there.
Do you think this could be the work of a virus? |

Hi Conner, it could very well be.
Can you please follow the prework link in my signiture, and post the resulting logs? One of the security team will be able to check it out for you
