Even though you talk about a "Fresh Install" Janko I feel sure you are trying to fix the pc through the Repair Console.
Do you want to do a completely brand new install as against a re-install?
Get back to us as to EXACTLY what you did please.
Did you change the first boot sequence in the BIOS to cdrom?
Did you Save on Exit?
Is your XP disk a full copy, OEM or Recovery?

Get back to us Janko ok.

Okay, let's see if i can explain it.
Windows crashed. So i tried, with help of my Windows XP cd (which is a copy, Not bought) to start windows with help of it. Didn't work
So i tried to install windows thru the cd while rebooting, nothing...not eaven a question pops up.
So i went into BIOS and change so that the cd drive should read from cd first. Eaven that didn't work.

What i want to do is; Make a fresh new installation of windows with my cd. But with these problems i can't do a thing!?!?

Hi Janko,

First of all, I would like to welcome you to PCHF. While we have a wonderful team of techs here, there are some things that we will not be able to help out with. Unfortunately this may be one of them.

I realize that you are new to our forum, so I would like to call your attention to the PCHF rules. We have a very strict policy of standing against piracy, and I am sorry, but your copy of XP is pirated. In order to assist you we will need to ask that you obtain a legal copy of the OS CD. You can actually get XP very innexpensively these days. I recently found a retailer in the States who had it for sale at $79.

I am simpathetic to your sitation, and just want you to know that it is quite common for illegal copies of Windows not to work properly after several installs. It is also common for these copies to be unable to be updated which leaves you open to malware attacks, which I am fairly certain is what you suffered prior to having your PC crash.

Please let us know when you have obtained a legal copy of XP, or if you need assistance locating a supplier, and we will be happy to help you set up your PC to run smoothly and safely in the future.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW
