hey guys need help regarding a desktop problem...I just started windows and all of a sudden i see a little window sidebar that has the folder task and such...see pic..How can I get rid of it??? Thanks in advance...

Welcome to the PCHF dashcoy

That's a strange one and i don't think i've ever seen it

Left click on the desktop and press CTRL + F or F3

See if that helps.

On second thought - it won't help...

If you right click the deskop and goto View - is there anything in there that would indicate Common Tasks or Folder Tasks or something similar?

(I'm runnign Vista and all the options like that are extremely different)

thanx for the replies guys, I got it fixed....all I did was re-imported to the most recently back up registry.

Weird since I had this before and found the solution at some forum, been searching and I cant remember...If I remember right I think it had something to do with active desktop. So a reminder to everyone, BACK UP YOUR REGISTRIES REGULARLY.
