Hey guys, I was just wondering what can other people do with my IP adress? Can they hurt me in any way, should i be worried about web sites i go on? Is there any way to prevent others from finding my IP adress?
Your IP address is your identifier on the internet - you're the only one wth that particular one at that particular time.
Many bad things can happen, such as spyware and malware. The best way to protect yourself is don't download anything from P2P programs such as Limewire. And make sure you have a good Firewall program, such as ZoneAlarm.
do you have a fixed IP if not your address change each time you connect anyway. Mine is allways the same incase I need to access my PC fixed IP cost extra $$$
Well my IP never changes. I only have the windows firewall and McAfee running to protect my PC, is that enough? Others have tolled me that if I really want to hide my IP from others, that a program called IP Hider would do it. What do you guys think?
Yea...that's not really true...
