Default hi

hi i just formated my computer and i correct the date and time. when i turn off the computer and turn it on the next day the date and time is not correct again so i manually change it and the following day it still the same. What do i need to do so it can automatically update the time and date when i turn it off and on the next day? also, the bio screen keep appearing when i turn it on.

Hi there, it sounds like your cmos battery (on the motherboard) is either faulty or flat. You will need to buy another one.

Hi gh,

The battery in question normally does have a lifetime limit...but lifetime can mean anything - can mean the lifetime of the computer, lifetime of the "warranty"...whatever the manfucatorer wanted.

Most lithium batteries have a guranteed life of 5 years. Anything longer then that is a plus.
