Default stops loading xp install disk please help

hey guys, not sure if this is the right area!
but i have a gateway pc. that my brother put i na new case, so not sure of the full specs.
but it has a p4 with HT. watercooled, and 1gb ram, and two 300gb sata, wit h200gb primary ide for boot. i recently bought vista loaded into the pc, and didnt really like it so, i decided to go back to xp pro. but when i inserted the xp disk i does the usual loads everything. then it stops at loading windows setup. and doesnt do anything. not sure what the prob is. i tryed a new dvd rom. tried different hdd. i tried removing the sata drives, and i also tried setting my bios back to factory defaults. no luck yet.

maybe someone here has had this issue and can help me.
thanks in advanced

Hi j8994. Welcome to the PCHF.

Are you receiving any kind of error message? or does it just stop....at a certain point...and not continue?

no errors, it will load all the drivers and files needed, then it says loading setup, and stops, you know the part right before the acutal installation part.
