Hello, first of all i would like to thank this forum for so much help. I had another unrelated? issue http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...stala-php.html
and i used hijackthis to take logs. I did turn off settings and the like to allow hijack this to run better, now all my icons are acting wierd, my start menu, on the right side, does not show icons. In folders, there are no icons, rather everything has the default icon, like the one windows uses when it is not sure what to use. also, in control panel, there is a sidebar that is not there. One of the directions for things to do before running hijackthis was to switch something on in windows explorer, could this be related

I'm not too familiar with hijack this sort of problems, which it appears this one is related to.

I'll PM Valis who's got good security and tech knowledge to see if he has any ideas

skt4dc8, if this is solved, let's mark it solved, and I'll continue to help you here.

Thanks,

v
