I've read through many hibernate threads but can't find the exact same problem that I have.
I used to find that my computer came out of standby all by itself in the middle of most nights, wasting power etc.
So a few months ago I changed the "Sleep" button, via control panel > Power options, to initiate Hibernate mode. All was well and I preferred hibernation to standby.
A week ago I increased my
RAM from 512Mb to 2.5Gb: now I find that pressing the Sleep button makes the machine enter Standby and not Hibernate! And when I wake it up again, there is a little yellow triangle on the systray with the message "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API" - whatevr *that* means!
I've reset to Hibernate several times, but it still won't do anything but go to Standby.
Any ideas?
