Unhappy wifi
Help! I have a desk top with windows 98 hooked up to Qwest Dsl. I have a gateway laptop with windows xl and a netgear chip for wifi. I can't get any signals. What can I do, with out spending too much money.

Have you got a wireless router for the netgear chip to connect to and are all drivers installed for the netgear chip?

All drivers must be installed. I used it last week at a hotspot. I dont know about a router.

Well at home you will need something to send out the wireless signal in the form of a wireless router. that is why you are not receiving any signal.

he dose not need a router he could setup a peer to peer network but it's hard and dose not work always
