Default [Fixed] No Volume

Hi I have lost my volume button from my system tray and have been told to go into my register and enter "wavemapper" and this will solve it,but I don't know how to do this. Please help

Go to the Start button and then to the Control Panel.

Click "sounds, speech, and audio devices" when that pops up there should be a box w/ Device volume written on it. Click the checkbox that says "place volume in system tray"

I have tried this and it just says there is no sound device (althought I did have sound), but thanks anyway

none off this worked either, there is nothing about sound devices, thanks for trying

yes there wernt any conflicts so I deleted and it unistalled everything but still no sound. sorry im not very techy
