Windows XP/2000 - [Answered] Booting Problem posted in the Operating Systems forums; hey every time i boot my new comp up,had it running few weeks now with no other problems,but when it boots up it comes up with two options 1.start windows ...

Default [Answered] Booting Problem

hey every time i boot my new comp up,had it running few weeks now with no other problems,but when it boots up it comes up with two options
1.start windows xp home editon
2.Windows Xp setup
it automatically counts down to the setup option so i have to catch it quik to get into windows,any1 no why its doing this and how i can fix,am guessin sumfin to do wif the BIOS?

Hi Wonder go into the bios and set the first boot option as the hard drive, if you still get a problem you will have to edit your boot ini file.
Go to start Run and type msconfig then click the boot tab, what should come is something in the shot below.
