okay, now, what do you want to do? Do you want to keep your existing file structure and not lose any apps or data, or just nuke and pave? Either way, you are going to have to reinstall a lot of drivers, and that can be a pain, especially if you don't download your NIC driver first, and can't get to the internet to get it as your NIC card is down. Easiest thing to do would be to click on the link on the left column labeled 'what's inside my pc', figure out what nic card you have, and d/l the driver for that first, preferably onto some removable media such as a floppy disk or a thumb drive. That way, when you DO reformat, you can install hte nic drivers, get the nic card working, and then go d/l the rest of your drivers (sound, video, etc).
But you gotta decide what you want to do first.
