Windows XP/2000 - Frozen screen posted in the Operating Systems forums; can some one please help .... I turned on my desk top and it is stuck on the "windows is loading up" screen I have turned it on and off ...

can some one please help ....
I turned on my desk top and it is stuck on the "windows is loading up" screen
I have turned it on and off 4 times and each time it has done the same.
my pc is about 5 years old and it is XP
I`m not computer literate so if anyone can help please be gentle and no big words

Hahah dont worry about the techs using big words. they're good with that sort of stuff, but anyways, I'm not sure what the problem is, but then again, i just say welcome. haha.
