Friends: I was having some overheating problems with my computer which I fixed now. However, the computer now would not boot by itself, only from a start-up floppy which I made earlier. How do I transfer the MBR from the floppy to my hard drive? Windows XP Pro. Thanks for any help.

Hi Wakenaam,
Are you receiving any error message when you boot without the floppy?? If so what is it?

Thanks for your response. The cursor just sits in the top left hand corner of the screen and blinks. I made a start up floppy some time ago and it would only boot from this floppy.
