Exclamation cannot connect to internet

Fisrt of all this is my first post. I found this web sit after searching for an answere. I am at work right now.

My problem is I cannot connect to the internet. I don't know why. My computer OS is XP. I do have another computer that runs XP. It is on a wireless network in my house. It can still connect to the internet with no problem. That is what leads me to believe that it is the computer itself. The only thing I can remember is I had some problem with my Linksys router and they could not help me till until I fixed a problem first. When you looked at internet connections, well my did not display one. I found a fixe for that. I had to install so different things to be able to show the connections. Well after that I get this tcpsvs.exe that runs when I start my computer. So what ever I did now I cannot connected. If I am makeing no sense I apologize. I am at wits ends.

Hi ndixie, welcome to the PC Help Forum.

Did you install tcpsvs.exe or did it "appear" there?

when I found out how to get the icon for my network connections to appear. One of the things it told me was I needed to install something. I can't remember what it was, I have been looking all day. Anyway, I think that one of the things "I" installed was this svce.
