For the jerky motion, my guess is you need to install video drivers.
Try the manufacturers website.
Not got a clue about the hibernate thing. What version of windows is it?

sound like you need to reinstall all drivers for your laptop since it has had the OS reinstalled what model is it? You should be able to get them for the manufacturers website.

i know that i said i have fixed it but i had to use system restore and i had to restore it to before i done this, so i done this again, went into device manager and put in the cd you know then rebooted then i went to the hibernate tab in power options, i checked the box which says enable hibernation then clicked apply, then a message box comes up saying "the process cannot acess the file because it is in use by another process" i have restarted and restarted and it still gives me this message, i have closed all open programs and tried it and i have even tried it in safe mode but only to discover that the hibernate tab is not there in safe mode. how can i resolve this?
