Default [Fixed] Help pc wont start up

New system less than a month old and this is the second time windows xp wont start up.
the first time i managed to recover the system using the recovery disc but now i cant even do that !

on start up it states

pci device listing
then verifying DMI pool data update sucess
boot from cd
intel UNDI PXE-2.0 (build 082)
for realtek RIL8139(X)/8130/810X PCI fast ethernet controller v2.13

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF Exiting PXE ROM

DISC BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
When i do this it just keep s resarting
i ve tried tapping f8 to access safe mode but it wont even let me accesss that

please help

Go into the BIOS Brewman and set the boot sequence to the hard drive first.
It may also be looking for a lan boot, just make sure it's booting from the hdd.

Thanks wolf but ive already tried that and it wont boot from there, so i set it to boot from cd as described
any idea why it wont even let me into safe mode etc options?

A "Disk boot failure" could indicate a bad hdd, but the point I'm trying to make is you don't need to continually boot from the cdrom (XP)
Once XP is installed then you should boot from the hdd, take all disks out of their respective drives, set the 1st boot sequence to IDE 0 or in other words your main hdd and all should be ok.
