Question Transfering Data

Hey guys how've you bin? I got this problem that I don't know how to fix. Whenever I back up my dvds, well not really back them up because I'm not putting them on blanks. I actually make an ISO and then add them to my portaple hard drive. The problem that I have is that for some reason, I can't through any ISOs in the hard drive. It tells me

"ERROR COPYING FILE OR FOLDER"
"Cannot copy there is not enough free disk space. Delete one or more files to free disk space, and then try again. To free disc space on this drive by deleting old or unnecessary files, click Disk Cleanup."

There is nothing to clean up though at all I have already done a disk cleanup. Any ideas?

I was wondering if anybody can help me with this problem that I have.
I posted this problem a long time ago, and still can't find a solution.

The portable hard drive that I want to put my ISOs is a "western digital my book 400gb"

I keep getting the same problem. It tells me that I don't have enough free disk space.

The funny thing is that I have put 3 IMAGE files on it already without any problems, don't know why it accepted them.

Has anybody run into this problem before?

Can anybody help, or know why this could be happening?

Thanks

How big is the ISO you want to put on there? I mean no ISO I know of is 40 to 50 gigs big unless your trying to backup a bluray disc.

Right click my computer...Then click on manage..Next click on Disk Management is there any greyed out area in your "mybook"? it could be that some of the space is allocated already to a backup partition or something else. Let us know what it says.

The biggest iso that I have tried was no more then 8GB.

Are you asking me if the Portable Drive comes up with light grey lines? If so yes it does, while the other drives come up as plain white.

I can add a lot of things to it, it just stops me from adding ISOs and IMAGE files for some reason.

(Not sure if this means anything but)

The only difference that I see in the ISO and Image files are that, the IMAGE files that it DID accept, when I right click on them and go to PROPERTIES, under ATTRIBUTES they have ARCHIVE checked, while the ones that it doesn't accept don't even have ARCHIVE on there. All they have is READ ONLY and HIDDEN, and neither of them are checked. There is an advanced button right next to these as well.

The ONLY way it will let me add these ISOs or IMAGES or even MDF files, is if I ZIP them. But that takes too long to ZIP and UNZIP them.

Could it be that I have a SINGEL file limitation on DATA size? The biggest SINGLE file transfer I have made on it is 4GB and 81MB. The ones that I am trying to do now are over 4GB.

If so any way I can change that?
