Can I change the location of my desktop? Right now my desktop is located at
C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Desktop
I'd like to change it to something like
D:\Desktop
I use the program "drive image" to restore my C drive all the time. But before I do that I have to always remember to gather all the junk I have laying around my desktop and temporarily put them on another partition so I don't lose the stuff.
So how would I change it so WinXP uses another directory for my desktop? I'm sure there is a way, maybe in the registry or something?

Hi Keypel, you cannot safely change the location of your desktop.
It is possible to change the location of "My Documents" but not "Desktop" This is because windows XP is very user oriented and designed to be kept all in one place.
